Choosing the Right Mode for Your Book
When you create a custom coloring book with us, you'll choose between two modes: Story Mode and Photo Album Mode. Both produce beautiful coloring books, but they work very differently.
Story Mode
Story Mode is our creative engine. You upload a photo, choose a theme, and we generate brand-new scenes featuring the people in your photo.
How it works:
- Upload a clear photo with visible faces
- Choose a theme (princesses, superheroes, dinosaurs, travel, etc.)
- We create 12 unique scenes placing your people in themed adventures
- Each page tells part of a visual story
Best for:
- Kids who want to see themselves as heroes
- Fun, imaginative gifts
- When you want creative, themed scenes
- When you have just 1-2 great photos
Photo Album Mode
Photo Album Mode converts your actual photos into coloring pages. The composition, poses, and details of each photo are preserved as clean line art.
How it works:
- Upload 5-12 of your favorite photos
- Each photo is converted into detailed line art
- The original composition is preserved
- Each page is a coloring version of a real photo
Best for:
- Preserving real memories (vacations, weddings, milestones)
- When you have many great photos to include
- Adults who want recognizable scenes
- Memorial or tribute books

Our Recommendation
If you're making a gift for a kid or want something fun and creative, go with Story Mode. If you're preserving real memories or making a keepsake for an adult, choose Photo Album Mode.
